What we do
Blufire Pty Ltd runs this site and the system behind its form. Installers in our network who do your kind of job see it, with your first name and suburb, and with your consent we give your contact details to the first one to take it, so they can contact you. That's our whole part. We don't install, service, repair or sell anything, we don't set prices, and we don't supervise the work.
Victoria's Domestic Building Contracts Act now also covers managing or arranging domestic building work. How that applies to a referral service like ours is part of the legal review: lawyer review of our role in Victoria.
We can't promise there's an installer for your job in your area, that one will take it, that they'll be free when you'd like, or what they'll quote. If we don't have anyone for your job, the form tells you.
Your agreement for the work
Any quote, contract, deposit, warranty and payment is between you and the installer. Read the written quote before you sign it, and check it shows their RTA number, which the ARC requires on quotes and invoices.
Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. The installer guarantees their services are done with due care and skill, and a contract term that tries to exclude, restrict or change those guarantees is void to that extent.
Guides and tools
Our guides and tools are general information, not advice for your particular home. A result from the size calculator is a starting point for a conversation with an installer, not a design, and only someone who has seen your home can quote the job.
Each page shows when it was last updated and lists its sources. Rules do change, so open the source before relying on one for a decision.
Using the site fairly
Only send a job for a home you own, rent or have the owner's permission to have work done on, and only with your own contact details.
Don't send false jobs, use someone else's details, copy the site's content in bulk or try to interfere with how it works. We may stop passing on jobs from anyone who misuses the service.
If something goes wrong with us
lawyer review of our liability wording. If you have a complaint about us, our complaints page explains what to do.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Which state's law applies: governing law and jurisdiction.
What we'd do
What we'd do
Treat the installer who takes your job as an introduction, not a reason to sign. Get the installer's quote in writing, read what's included and what isn't, and keep it with the invoice and any certificates for as long as you have the system.
