What hipages reports about itself
hipages' H1 FY26 results presentation says paid connections happen when a tradie claims a lead, which uses lead credits, and that every job posted is connected with up to 3 tradies. Its 2026 annual report puts hipages Australia's job connection rate, the share of jobs with at least one connection, at 84% for FY26.
Its 2023 annual report says the Australian subscription model includes auto-renewal, and that in May it entered into an undertaking with the ACCC. The report says hipages then added more auto-renewal communications and a seven day cooling-off period.
What's actually different?
Both check licences before any work flows, and both pass on jobs from homeowners who asked for help. The real difference is how many businesses get each homeowner's details. On hipages you choose which invitations to spend credits on, and up to two other businesses can claim the same one. Here, the first installer to take a job is the only one who gets the details.
There's another difference worth weighing. hipages is an ASX-listed company with an established network, and we're new, with no installers, reviews or results to show yet.

What we'd do
How we'd decide
Ask any lead source two questions: how many other businesses get the same job, and what happens when a job turns out to be a dud. hipages answers the first on its own site. Our answer to the second is bad job credits, and you should hold us to it once it's set.
