For installers

Installer FAQBefore you sign anything.

Short answers to the questions we'd ask if we were in your position. Where something isn't decided yet, we say so rather than guess. The longer pages, linked in the answers, go into the detail.

The model, in a few lines

A homeowner asks for a heating or cooling job and agrees to one local installer contacting them about it. Installers who do that kind of job nearby see it, and the first to take it gets the contact details. You pay us for the job, they pay us nothing, and we don't do any of the work.

We're new. No installers have joined yet, so there are no reviews or job photos from the network to show you.

What we'd do

Our take

Read how jobs work before anything else. Consent, Do Not Call and the cooling-off rule decide how your first call and first visit should go, and they apply whoever sends you the job.

Questions people ask

Am I competing with other installers for each job?
Only to take it. Installers who do that kind of work in the area may all see a new job, but there's no bidding: once you've taken it, no other installer gets that homeowner's details from us.
Are you an installer?
No. We don't quote, sell units or do any of the work, so we'll never be competing with you. Passing on jobs is all we do.
What do I pay?
installer pricing. The pricing page lists what's settled and what's still open.
How do jobs reach me?
That's how jobs are delivered. You see the job, the homeowner's first name and their suburb, and once you take it you get their contact details and their answers from the form.
What if the homeowner's number is on the Do Not Call Register?
The consent on our form is express, and it covers whichever installer takes the job. It ends the moment they tell you to stop calling. How jobs work has the detail, including what the register rules say about how long consent lasts.
Can I sign a homeowner up at the quote visit?
You can, but asking for a quote doesn't make your visit invited. A deal negotiated there can be an unsolicited consumer agreement, with 10 business days to cancel, during which you can't start the work or take payment.
Is RSS03 enough, or do I need RAC01?
RSS03 is enough for single-head split installs under 18 kW. Regas, refrigerant repairs and multi-head systems need RAC01, so only businesses with RAC01 holders see those jobs. See the licences we check.
Do you send heating jobs too?
Yes. Ducted gas heating, hydronic and gas heater servicing jobs go to heating specialists, the same way split and evaporative jobs go to people who do those every week.
Will my business be named on your website?
Homeowners learn your business name when you take their job and get in touch. What else they're shown about you is installer details shown to homeowners. We don't name network installers on the public pages of the site.
Can I leave?
The terms for leaving are contract length and notice. You'll have them in writing before your first job.
Are there reviews from installers already in the network?
Not yet, because nobody has joined, and we won't publish testimonials we don't have. Once installers are working with us, their Google reviews will appear on our reviews page, which explains how they're chosen and labelled.
Do you take VEU jobs?
Yes, for accredited providers and the installers who work under them. The VEU providers page covers how consent and the named accredited person work.

Where this information comes from

We don't publish prices. Every home is different, so an installer's written quote is the only real number. How we write and check these pages.
