Why this page may look empty
A review only appears here once the installer has joined the network and given us permission to show it. While the network is small there won't be many, and there may be none at all when you read this.
We won't fill the space with stock testimonials, reviews copied from other websites, or anything we've written ourselves.
How every review here is labelled
- It says plainly that it's a Google review of an installer we pass jobs to, and not a review of us.
- It sits beside that installer's overall Google rating and number of reviews, with the date we checked them. One glowing quote shouldn't stand in for the whole picture.
- Business names are swapped for a short description in square brackets, so you can see which words are ours. Every other word is the reviewer's.
- It shows the month the review was written.
- We don't pass these ratings to search engines as if they were ratings of Find My Aircon.
- Ratings are re-checked rating recheck frequency.
How we choose which ones to show
The rule for picking reviews is still being settled: review selection rule. Whatever it ends up being, the overall rating stays next to each review, so you can always see how a quote we chose compares with everything else that installer's customers have said.
Once an installer takes your job and gets in touch, you'll know their name, and you can read every one of their Google reviews yourself. We'd encourage it.
Reviews of Find My Aircon
There aren't any yet. When we start asking people who've used us how it went, how we will collect reviews of Find My Aircon.
If an installer has already taken your job, the most useful thing you can tell us is whether they were the right fit for it. Our contact page is the place to do it.
Warning signs in installer reviews, wherever you read them
- A burst of five-star reviews in a few days, each one short and vague.
- Reviews that mention being pushed to sign on the spot. A deal done at your kitchen table can carry a 10 business day cooling-off, even when you asked for the quote.
- Owner replies that argue with unhappy customers instead of offering to sort it out.
- Plenty of praise for one kind of job and none for yours. A great split installer may never have touched a ducted gas heater.
What we'd do
Our take
Skip past the five-star reviews and read the three- and four-star ones. That's where people say what went wrong and how the installer handled it, which tells you more than any amount of praise. Then look for a review of a job like yours.
