How applying works
Tell us about your business
Business name, ABN, the states you work in, the postcodes you cover and the jobs you specialise in. Be specific: replacing ducted gas heaters and fitting back-to-back splits are different specialties here.
Send your licences and insurance
Each technician's ARC licence number, your RTA certificate, your state licence or registration, and a current public liability certificate.
We check them
Technicians on the ARC's public licence check, and your state licence on the register where there is one. How long that takes is application check time.
We talk through areas
Which postcodes and job types are open, how many jobs a week suit you, and anything you'd rather not be sent.
Terms, then your first job
You'll see the terms in writing, including installer pricing and contract length and notice, before anything starts.
Who are we looking for?
Installers who do one kind of job well and want more of exactly that. A crew that fits splits every day. A heating business that services and replaces ducted gas heaters. Someone who knows evaporative coolers down to the pads and pumps.
You don't need to be big. You need the right licences, a clear specialty and the time to call homeowners back promptly.
VEU accredited providers
If you're a VEU accredited provider, or you install under one, tell us which. It changes how the accredited person is named on Victorian jobs, and the VEU providers page explains why.
When we'd say not yet
- A technician's ARC licence doesn't show as current on the public check.
- There's no RTA certificate.
- The state licence doesn't cover the work, such as a NSW licence with the electrical side excluded and no electrician lined up.
- The licence belongs to a different business from the one applying.
- Every job type in every postcode is on the wish list. We match specialists, so we'd ask you to choose.
What we'd do
Before you apply
Gather every technician's ARC licence number first. It's the list we check before anything else, and it decides which job types you can hold. Then pick the postcodes you'd genuinely drive to on a wet Monday.
