What's different about Mona Vale
An ocean beach and The Basin
Mona Vale has a shallow ocean beach with a children's pool and lap pool at its northern end, and a second beach to the north known as The Basin. Within 200 m of surf like that, the AS 4312 guide rates corrosion C5, and 200 m to 1 km back C4.
A mix of homes

We'd measure roughly how far the outdoor unit sits from the sand, put it in the most sheltered spot that still breathes, and choose a model with a coastal coil treatment if we were within a few hundred metres.
